About Lido DAO

Lido DAO (LDO) is a liquid staking platform, primarily known for enabling users to stake ETH while maintaining some liquidity. Lido allows stakers to earn staking rewards while receiving a token (such as stETH) that they can use in other DeFi protocols. This simplifies staking for those who don't want to run a validator. LDO is Lido DAO's governance token. It is used by holders to decide on things like protocol settings, node operator selection, and DAO treasury. LDO is not primarily used to pay for services, and rewards are paid out from the assets staked into Lido rather than from the LDO itself. Lido is staking infrastructure in Ethereum. It bridges users, node operators, wallets and DeFi. Popular use-cases include: liquid staking, governance, collateral, liquidity and staking rewards while maintaining some flexibility to move assets.
