About Solana

Solana is a public blockchain built for fast, low-cost applications. Its native token, SOL, powers the network and gives users a way to pay for activity across wallets, exchanges, games, marketplaces, and financial apps. SOL can be used for fees, staking, rewards, payments, liquidity, DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and infrastructure. In every transaction on Solana you pay a small fee in SOL Token holders stake SOL with validators, which helps secure the network and earn rewards for that role. Developers use the network to host decentralized exchanges, lending tools, payment apps, creator platforms and on-chain games. SOL is the primary settlement and access token in its ecosystem. Users get fast transfers, dynamic app economies, and low transaction costs for regular transfers. Solana is a shared substrate for builders to develop consumer apps, trading tools and digital ownership systems that require speed and scale at the network level.
