Binance Coin (BNB) is the native token of the BNB Chain ecosystem, which grew from Binance’s exchange services into a wider network for apps and transactions. It supports activity on BNB Smart Chain, BNB Beacon Chain’s legacy functions, and related tools used by developers and users. BNB is used for fees, payments, access, rewards, liquidity, and DeFi activity. Users can spend it to pay network gas fees, trade assets, join some launch or reward programs, and interact with wallets, exchanges, games, and decentralized applications. Some platforms also use BNB in liquidity pools or as collateral, depending on their own rules. Its role is mainly infrastructure. BNB helps keep transactions moving across a large app ecosystem while giving users a common asset for fees and settlement. Governance and staking details have changed over time, so the token’s exact rights depend on the network rules and service involved at any given time today.
