About Aerodrome Finance

Aerodrome Finance (AERO) is the native token of Aerodrome Finance, a decentralized exchange and automated market maker on Base. The protocol serves as a liquidity hub for token swaps, liquidity pools, and incentive distribution across the Base network. It combines trading infrastructure with a governance system that lets users influence emissions and protocol decisions. AERO supports liquidity rewards and vote-lock governance. Users can lock AERO into veAERO to gain voting power and direct incentives toward selected liquidity pools. Liquidity providers can stake LP tokens and receive rewards based on pool activity and governance-directed emissions. Aerodrome Finance uses Velodrome V2 functions together with its liquidity incentive system to attract assets. The AMM model enables fast asset exchanges, while the platform provides dual access for standard users and advanced DeFi traders. The protocol operates on Base to enable users to perform decentralized trading and manage liquidity, while AERO and veAERO allow for community governance.
