SUI, the native coin of the high-speed layer-1 blockchain Sui Network is “about to rally,” says seasoned crypto trader Ali Martinez. In a Friday X post, Martinez highlighted multiple on-chain and exchange-level data metrics that point toward a looming rally for SUI.
SUI showing multiple bullish signs
According to Martinez, SUI’s TD Sequential indicator is flashing a buy signal on the monthly time-frame. This macro bullish setup can signal a reversal from bearish to bullish momentum, pointing to a potential 1 to 4 monthly-candle upswing, or the start of a new 9-candle bullish countdown.

A TD Sequential buy signal suggests that a prolonged decline may be approaching seller exhaustion, increasing the possibility of a bullish reversal or rebound. When it appears on a longer timeframe such as the monthly chart, it can point to a larger trend shift, though confirmation from price action is still very much needed.
Further, SUI is forming a morning doji star on the monthly chart. This 3-candle bullish reversal pattern forms near the end of a downtrend – suggesting buyers may be preparing to take control.
From an on-chain perspective, whales are accumulating SUI at an alarming rate. Notably, SUI active addresses have surged more than 250 percent over the past week, rising from 66,886 to 231,272.
Finally, on the weekly chart, SUI is trading within a broad rising channel. After rebounding from the channel’s lower boundary, the mid-range at $2.30 is the next key upside area. If momentum continues, the channel’s upper boundary around $8 becomes the larger target.
Social sentiment still leaning negative
Despite the array of the aforementioned positive developments, the social sentiment surrounding SUI remains negative. According to Martinez, the broader market may not have recognized the potential trend shift yet, meaning the trade is not overcrowded.
As of Friday, SUI is trading around the $0.79 price zone, still significantly below its all-time high of $5.35 recorded in January 2025. Despite the depressing price action, the layer-1 blockchain is seeing unprecedented growth in network activity.
