About Humanity

Humanity Protocol is an Ethereum Layer-2 network built to help apps confirm real, unique users while limiting bots and Sybil attacks. It uses palm scans to create a privacy-preserving “Proof of Humanity,” then lets people reuse that identity across Web3 services through decentralized IDs and verifiable credentials. The Humanity coin (H) supports activity on the network. Users and applications pay H fees to request attestations such as age, location, or other credentials, and validators can stake H to help secure the chain and earn rewards. H also drives governance, enabling holders to vote on upgrades and policy options concerning the development of identity rules. In practice, H fits as the payment, staking, and governance token for an identity layer that can plug into DeFi, social platforms, airdrops, and compliance checks without exposing raw personal data. It aims to let people prove a single attribute, like adulthood, without sharing profiles with every site.
