About Kaia

Kaia (KAIA) is the native token of Kaia, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain focused on payments, stablecoin settlement, and on-chain finance in Asia. The network came from the merger of Klaytn, linked to Kakao, and Finschia, linked to LINE. After the merger, the former KLAY token moved under the KAIA brand. Kaia supports Ethereum-style applications, so developers can bring existing tools and smart contracts to the network. It also focuses on low fees, fast settlement, and gas abstraction, which can let users pay transaction costs with supported stablecoins. That design targets simpler payments, remittances, DeFi activity, and consumer apps. KAIA pays transaction fees, supports staking, and gives holders a role in governance. Validators use the token to help secure the chain, while governance votes guide network changes. The ecosystem includes exchanges, lending platforms, games, and other Web3 projects built for regular users and builders across the wider Kaia network today.
