About Aptos

Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain built for fast, secure, and developer-friendly applications. Developed by engineers linked to Meta’s Diem project, it uses the Move language and parallel transaction processing to support apps that need scale. The network serves DeFi platforms, wallets, games, NFT projects, payment tools, and other on-chain services. APT is the native token inside this ecosystem. Users spend APT to pay transaction fees, while validators and delegators stake it to help secure the network and earn rewards. The token also supports governance, allowing holders to vote on network changes where proposals apply.  For developers and users, APT works as the basic settlement and coordination asset across Aptos applications. Its role is mainly infrastructure-focused: it keeps transactions moving, supports security, and links participants to the network’s decision-making process. As with many young Layer 1 projects, its long-term use depends on real activity across Aptos-based apps broadly over time.
