Chainlink APAC Equities Streams has been recently launched; it brings real-time, high-frequency price data for major Asia-Pacific (APAC) companies onchain. Starting with Japan’s Tokyo Stock Exchange and Korea’s KRX, the feeds cover Samsung, SK Hynix, Toyota, Sony, SoftBank, and more. Developers can now build onchain markets (equity perpetuals, spot markets, prediction markets, and structured products) around these assets.
What Chainlink APAC Equities Streams deliver
These feeds give you quick, clear price info for big APAC indices and individual stocks, priced in the local currency (JPY for Japan, KRW for Korea). Everything is delivered through Chainlink’s Real-World Asset (RWA) Advanced schema, so you get the mid-price, bid, ask, and market status details. They run during regular trading hours and monitor data freshness and market status signals, such as closed periods, lunch breaks, and opening/closing auctions.

The streams support the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), enabling low-latency delivery for onchain protocols. The launch covers Korea Exchange (KRX) and Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), with additional APAC exchanges (including Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan) coming soon.
What this unlocks for onchain markets
Chainlink APAC Equities Streams open up a bunch of new opportunities for onchain financial products. Developers can create equity perpetuals for Asian tech giants, tokenized stock spot markets, or even prediction markets based on corporate earnings or geopolitical events. You can also whip up structured products like yield-bearing equity baskets or manage risk with things like options and hedges.
These feeds make real-time settlement and collateral management way easier for institutional players. Since the Asian equity market is one of the largest in the world, bringing it onchain is a major move for unlocking liquidity and trading volume. To this point, Chainlink is making it super easy to connect traditional equity markets with decentralized finance (DeFi) by offering fast, reliable pricing data.
What this represents for DeFi
This launch is an important deal for bringing global equity markets onchain. Before this, getting access to Asian stocks onchain was tough, mostly relying on tokenized products or synthetic assets with shaky data. Now, Chainlink’s feeds bring in high-quality data straight from the source, helping developers build liquid, capital-efficient markets.
The timing is perfect, too, as the move toward tokenizing real-world assets is really picking up speed, with equity markets being the next big focus. Also, the Chainlink APAC Equities Streams work right alongside its existing RWA tools, helping build a complete data foundation for global assets.
