The Trump administration, in a historic move, has started declassifying U.S.’ official reports about alleged aliens and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAPs). The U.S. government has been keeping these files as classified for decades but are now releasing them in a bid to bring more transparency to these unidentified anomalous phenomena.
The files have remained a major source of curiosity and fascination among not just U.S. nationals but for obeservers and experts from around the world studying space and inter-galactic phenomena. These findings, after all, could be the answer to the age old question – Is there other life beings out there?
U.S. President Donald Trump directed the Secretary of War and other departments to identify and release these files related to extra-terrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena, and UFOs.
The files are being posted on a new Pentagon UFO website and it has already been loaded with 162 files from various agencies including the FBI, NASA, and the Department of Defense among others.
Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of War, commented on the development saying, “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation — and it’s time the American people see it for themselves. This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s earnest commitment to unprecedented transparency.”
As part of these files, the Pentagon has also posted videos of archived videos showing alleged UFO spotting. A total of 28 videos and 14 images have now been released on War.Gov/UFO.

Earlier in February, former U.S. President Barack Obama had also said in a podcast that extra-terrestrial beings are “real” but that he hasn’t seen them.
