Stable 2 (STABLE) is an ERC-20 token tied to the Stable ecosystem and its payments-focused Layer-1 network, rather than a 1:1 dollar stablecoin. Market listings sometimes describe it as “stable” in name, but the token itself trades freely and can move like a regular mid-cap asset. In the project’s docs, STABLE is used for governance and network security. Holders can stake through delegated proof-of-stake, vote on protocol upgrades, and participate in validator selection. Validators distribute a share of network revenue that comes from USDT0 gas fees, which is designed to make transfers feel more like stablecoin payments on-chain. Supply is large, and team and investor allocations unlock on multi-year schedules. Within the broader Stable stack, STABLE sits alongside payment rails and RWA-yield products that tokenize principal and yield into separate tokens.
