The Sandbox is a metaverse game where users own digital assets and virtual real estate, build, and monetize their own game worlds.  The native token on the platform is called SAND, and its function involves facilitating buying and selling of goods on marketplace, purchasing or trading LAND, staking, and participating in governance mechanisms. Users have the ability to purchase land called LAND, create unique digital assets referred to as ASSETS, which allows them to build any kind of game or experience. To facilitate creating and editing of assets, there are special tools like VoxEdit for 3D modeling and Game Maker for building games from blocks without coding skills.  The Sandbox employs the create-to-earn economic model which enables creators and gamers to earn income via selling, renting, or charging fees for their experiences.
