About USAT

USAT is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether for the American market. It maintains a 1-to-1 ratio with the American dollar and holds Treasury-backed reserve funds. The USAT was issued by Anchorage Digital Bank under American regulation, separate from the offshore USDT. USAT Structure USAT operates as an ERC-20 token built on the Ethereum blockchain and has future plans to operate on other blockchains. USAT’s features include regulated issuance, reserve backing, and payments for institutions. USAT tokens have complete collateral backing via short-term U.S. Treasury bills and cash dollars. USAT is issued by Anchorage Digital and is backed by their federally chartered digital asset bank. Reserve Oversight The GENIUS Act provides USAT with its federal stablecoin regulations in the United States. These laws govern the issuance of payment stablecoins, reserve standards, disclosures, and supervision. Deloitte performed an attestation on February 27, 2026, regarding the first set of reserves. These reserves were comprised of cash in U.S. dollars and reverse repurchase agreements collateralized by Treasuries.
