The ONyc token is a yield-generating asset that aims to bring real world yield to the DeFi ecosystem via the OnRe’s stablecoin. Unlike a standard volatile governance token, ONyc is an on-chain asset that functions as collateral for loans and corresponds to the verified net asset value of a real world business or resource, allowing holders to use it in a broader number of ways than simply as a tradeable commodity.  In addition, ONyc is a DeFi asset that can be deposited in numerous lending and borrowing platforms like Kamino, allowing users to generate yield by utilizing the underlying asset as collateral for DeFi strategies such as looping, lending and borrowing. ONyc’s main utility is its composability: ONyc can be re-used multiple times as both liquidity (for lending and borrowing), as security (for lending and borrowing), and as a yield-generating asset.
