Mantle is an Ethereum Layer 2 network that’s all about speed, low fees, and making Web3 more accessible. Instead of having everything packed into one system, Mantle breaks things up with execution, data availability, and consensus all working separately. This setup lets the network scale a lot better compared to old-school blockchains, but still keeps all the perks of being part of Ethereum’s world. For cheaper and faster transactions, Mantle relies on optimistic rollups to bundle everything together and uses EigenDA to handle data. That combination helps keep costs down and the network moving smoothly. The MNT token does a bit of everything within Mantle; it pays gas fees, lets users stake, and gives people a voice in governance through the Mantle DAO. Developers using Mantle don’t hit as many roadblocks here, since Mantle works seamlessly with the Ethereum Virtual Machine. Moving over or launching new apps is pretty straightforward. Beyond just the chain, Mantle comes with its own set of products too, like mETH for liquid staking and tools for bringing Bitcoin liquidity into DeFi.
