HTX DAO is a decentralised community governance project for the HTX exchange (formerly Huobi). It began in 2024, and the voting and utility token is HTX, which replaced HT in a voluntary swap. HTX token holders are able to participate in governance through voting on proposals related to DAO strategy, tokenomics, and some platform policies. On the exchange, HTX is also used for fee deductions and campaign access, and it may be required for certain rewards or membership-style benefits. Some platforms also offer staking options that turn holdings into voting power and rewards. In the wider ecosystem, HTX DAO has promoted “pledge and burn” programs that add liquidity to HTX trading pools and permanently retire LP tokens, alongside buyback-and-burn events. This design aims to support trading depth and ongoing incentives rather than only reducing supply. Details and availability may vary by region and program.
