Global Dollar (USDG) is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Paxos Digital Singapore and supervised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Paxos also issues USDG in Europe through an affiliated entity under MiCA-aligned oversight, depending on jurisdiction. The token targets payments and settlement. Paxos issues USDG on deposit of dollars and redeems it for cash, intending to fix the value of each token at $1. Backing the supply is cash and high-quality short-term U.S. dollar assets, and Paxos regularly audits the reserves. Holders can transfer USDG from the exchanges and wallets, store it as digital cash, or use it as collateral and liquidity in other DeFi markets. USDG anchors the Global Dollar Network, a group of trading and payment platforms that integrate the stablecoin for 24/7 transfers. The network shares a large portion of reserve income with partners, which can fund rewards, fee discounts, and market-making liquidity where programs apply.
