GHOAbout GHO
GHO is a decentralized stablecoin issued by the Aave protocol. The native currency of the protocol, called GHO, is minted and burned on the Aave network and aims to maintain 1 USD stability. GHO will be issued via collateral deployment into Aave. The protocol takes care of all the process of loan issuance, interest rate determination and liquidation management through the smart contracts. Due to its overcollateralization, GHO does not use cash reserves but rather uses excess collateral. In general, GHO aims to make lending within the Aave protocol more convenient by providing users with a stablecoin.
