The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), announced the launch of a new global platform of AI and digital experts called the Global Expert Community (GEC) on Thursday. The platform is designed to mobilize and build global cooperation between experts to support high-impact digital initiatives across DCO Member States.
The DCO is the first standalone international platform dedicated to the growth of an inclusive and sustainable digital economy. The organization works with governments, the private sector and civil society to build digital capabilities. It comprises 16 member states amounting to $ 3.5 trillion in GDP and a combined market of 800 million people.
The GEC will ensure digital cooperation gets converted to action by expanding access to experts across sectors and borders.
Deemah AlYahya, Secretary-General of DCO, said: “Today’s digital challenges require stronger collaboration and access to diverse expertise. Through the Global Expert Community, we are establishing a platform that transforms knowledge into actionable impact and strengthens our collective capacity to build more inclusive, resilient, and future -ready digital economies.”
As digital transformation continues to reshape economies and societies worldwide, the GEC aims to bring together global perspectives and practical expertise to support the development of innovative solutions and accelerate progress toward more inclusive and sustainable digital economies.
“By bringing together experts from across sectors and regions, we aim to accelerate knowledge exchange, foster collaboration, and support the development of practical solutions that drive meaningful and measurable impact through international digital cooperation,” Deemah added.
The Global Expert Community will support work in digital economy, Artificial Intelligence and digital inclusion and innovation through a range of activities like expert dialogues, strategic discussions, capacity-building initiatives and advisory contributions.
Participation in the Global Expert Community is voluntary, with engagement opportunities activated based on initiative needs and relevance of expertise. Applications are now open globally to qualified professionals from government entities, international organizations, academic institutions, private sector organizations, civil society institutions, and independent practitioners.
Through the Global Expert Community, DCO aims to strengthen international collaboration and unlock new opportunities for experts worldwide to contribute their knowledge, experience, and insights toward shaping practical, high -impact solutions for the future of the digital economy.
