Pyth Network (PYTH) is a blockchain oracle network that delivers real-time pricing feeds. It gathers price data from exchanges, market-makers and other sources and feeds the data to applications needing pricing. DeFi applications are the main users of the network, and they need up-to-date asset values for loan platforms, perpetual exchanges and structured products. The PYTH token is used to organize the network.  Token holders can vote on protocol changes, data-feed regulations and other governance matters connected to the expansion of the oracle network. Depending on governance decisions, the token could potentially be used for staking and incentives based on data quality, publisher participation, or ecosystem rewards.
