MX Token is the native utility and governance asset of MEXC, a platform, issued in June 2018 as an ERC-20 coin on Ethereum. Holders spend MX to settle spot and futures trading fees, receiving tiered discounts that rise with balance and VIP status. Holders can use MX for trading fee benefits, participation in Launchpad, Kickstarter, Launchpool, and other exchange events, and voting on selected listings or platform matters. MEXC also links MX to staking-style reward programs, where users may lock or commit tokens to earn campaign rewards. The token therefore functions as an access, fees, governance, and rewards asset, rather than a general payments coin. MX also aligns with MEXC’s supply management model. The exchange states that it utilizes a portion of platform revenue to purchase and burn MX, thereby reducing the supply over time. This makes MX closely tied to MEXC usage and growth directly.
