About Golem

Golem is a decentralized computing marketplace that lets people rent out unused computing power to others who need it. It works by connecting requestors, who need processing resources for tasks such as rendering, data processing, or automation, with providers who contribute spare hardware capacity. Smart contracts and network coordination help match supply and demand in a peer-to-peer environment without relying on a single cloud company.  Golem’s native token is GLM, an ERC-20 utility token used for payments and rewards inside the network. Users pay GLM to access computing resources, while providers earn GLM for supplying their machines’ capacity.  The project is designed to make distributed computing more open, flexible, and cost-efficient than traditional centralized cloud services. Golem also emphasizes privacy and control, since work can be broken into tasks and handled across many machines. Its core idea is to turn idle computing power into a shared, decentralized global market.
