EdgeX is a decentralized derivatives exchange on Base, providing traders the opportunity to trade perpetuals using the high-speed on-chain technology. It provides traders with an interface of the centralised exchange and decentralised settlement, giving traders the opportunity to hold self-custody along with fast execution and transparent processes. EDGE token is the native coin of EdgeX; it is ERC-20 token used by the holders to take part in governance and stake their tokens in the ecosystem. Token holders have the right to vote on any proposed change such as fee updates, asset listing, improvements in the blockchain compatibility, or any other kind of upgrade that helps to improve the security of the orderbook. Thus, the project uses a token to bring traders, validators, and all governance participants to work together in favor of the exchange's prosperity.
