DoubleZero is an infrastructure solution for blockchain systems, specifically designed for delivering high performance in terms of blockchain communication networks. It is referred to as a decentralized fiber network, designed to enhance latency, throughput, and connectivity between validators and other parties participating in the blockchain system. Unlike a smart contract chain, which could be viewed as a general purpose blockchain, DoubleZero aims at addressing issues at the network level where different blockchains can connect and transfer information. The token for the project is 2Z. DoubleZero operates via coordinating infrastructure providers and clients using a tokenization approach, where the 2Z token is used to align incentives within the network.
