About Arbitrum

Arbitrum (ARB) is a Layer 2 network built on Ethereum that intends to make blockchain apps faster and cheaper to use, and is secured by Ethereum. It offers wallets, exchanges, games and DeFi apps that require lower costs and faster transactions than Ethereum mainnet frequently delivers. ARB is not the token utilized for conventional gas fees, but rather Arbitrum’s governance token. Users typically pay network fees in ETH. ARB holders can vote directly or delegate votes in the Arbitrum DAO, which guides upgrades, treasury spending and rules for Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova and related technology. ARB is mostly a governance and infrastructural asset in the ecosystem. It provides users a voice in the evolution of the network. Arbitrum provides potential for DeFi, payments, gaming, NFTs and developer tools. Value to the users is being in the decision-making process not staking rewards or privacy features unless future community ideas modify those roles drastically further down the road.
