Anthropic’s Claude models are now generally available in Microsoft Foundry on Azure, running on NVIDIA GB300 Blackwell Ultra systems, as the companies deepen their push into enterprise-grade agentic AI.

NVIDIA said the launch gives Azure-native businesses a new foundation for building autonomous and domain-specific AI agents, with Claude hosted on Microsoft Azure and accelerated by NVIDIA’s GB300 NVL72 systems and Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networking.

The availability brings Claude into Microsoft’s AI development environment for teams moving agentic applications from experimentation toward production.

Two AI titans meet: Anthropic brings Claude to NVIDIA GB300 on Microsoft Azure

Claude lands on NVIDIA hardware for the first time

The rollout marks Anthropic’s first announced Claude deployment on NVIDIA hardware, a notable shift for one of the leading frontier AI developers as demand grows for high-performance inference.

NVIDIA said the GB300 Blackwell Ultra platform is built for fast, efficient and scalable inference, a key requirement as AI use moves from simple chatbot interactions toward agents that can perform longer, more complex business tasks.

For enterprises, the move means Claude can run on Azure infrastructure designed for larger agentic workloads.

NVIDIA said the setup can support autonomous and specialized sub-agents that operate across business domains and help accelerate essential workflows.

NVIDIA tools aim to give Claude agents business-specific skills

NVIDIA is also working with Anthropic to integrate NVIDIA tools into the Anthropic stack, including verified agent skills that can give Claude agents domain-specific capabilities.

The companies say the system is built for enterprises looking to place AI agents inside core workflows, rather than treating them as standalone assistants.

The deployment also supports NVIDIA’s Secure Agent Workspace Reference Design, which provides a blueprint for running autonomous agents in governed environments where identity, network access, credentials and runtime policy can be controlled at the infrastructure level.

$30B Azure deal sets the stage for Claude’s infrastructure expansion

The launch builds on the strategic partnership Microsoft, NVIDIA and Anthropic announced in November, when Anthropic committed to purchase $30 billion of Azure compute capacity and contract additional capacity of up to one gigawatt.

The launch highlights Anthropic’s push to place Claude deeper inside enterprise infrastructure as companies move from AI assistant pilots to production-ready agents.

For Microsoft and NVIDIA, the move strengthens Azure’s model choice and reinforces Blackwell Ultra’s role in powering the next phase of commercial AI workloads.
