XRP whale inflows to Binance fall to lowest level since January 2025

XRP repeats 2024 deleveraging pattern that preceded 790 percent rally

XRP, the 6th-largest digital asset, with a reported market cap of over $71.3 billion, has witnessed significant drawdown throughout most of 2026. On a year-to-date basis, the cryptocurrency is down a major 38 percent, trading at $1.14 as of Tuesday. However, latest exchange data suggest that a reversal might be nearing for XRP.

XRP inflows to exchanges scaling back

According to exchange data obtained on Tuesday, XRP inflows to cryptocurrency trading platforms like Binance have receded significantly over the past few weeks. It shows the first stage of a correctional phase followed by consolidation – that of seller exhaustion.

Whale selling pressure on XRP is starting to fizzle out, as Binance inflows hit their lowest levels since January 2025. Notably, XRP inflows to Binance have cratered from a peak of 583 million XRP – worth around $1.36 billion – to just about 25.3 million XRP, worth roughly $23 million.

The 90-day average inflows to Binance metric – which smooths out the underlying trend – further confirms this declining trend. As of January 2025, the parameter stood at around $460 million, while it stands at just around $69 million as of Tuesday.

XRP sellers on Binance gradually running out of holdings to sell are likely to provide some temporary relief to the cryptocurrency as it consolidates around the $1 level.

However, genuine demand still needs to mark a return for XRP to chart its next leg up, or it might risk falling below $1 if the overall crypto market sentiment worsens.

Meanwhile, seasoned crypto analyst Ali Martinez shared on Tuesday that XRP is breaking out on the 1-hour chart. The analyst shared the following chart, adding that the next realistic target for XRP is around $1.30.

New ATH for XRP?

As selling pressure continues to ease on XRP – propelled by funding rates that are increasingly turning neutral – analysts are starting to turn bullish. On July 9, XRP showed a breakout on the weekly chart after weeks of compression.

On Friday, XRP repeated a deleveraging pattern from 2024 that, at the time, resulted in a massive 790 percent rally for the cryptocurrency. A similar rally in 2026 could skyrocket XRP to a new all-time high, ahead of $3.65 recorded in July 2025.
