XRP Ledger crosses 8 million wallets as XRP struggles below 50-day MA

XRP Ledger surpasses 8 million wallet addresses

XRP ownership has become more widely distributed as the XRP Ledger crossed a major adoption milestone, surpassing 8 million wallet addresses. The latest on-chain data shows that it now takes just 2,151 XRP to rank among the top 10% of holders, down significantly from roughly 4,000 XRP previously, highlighting the network’s expanding user base.

XRP is less concentrated and more widespread

The increase in wallet addresses suggests that XRP holdings are becoming less concentrated as more participants join the network. As ownership spreads across a larger number of wallets, the amount of XRP required to rank among the wealthiest holders naturally declines.

According to the latest distribution data, holding 2,151 XRP is now sufficient to place a wallet in the top 10% of all XRP holders. Previously, investors needed close to 4,000 XRP to achieve the same ranking, indicating that a growing number of users are accumulating and holding smaller balances.

Meanwhile, investors holding approximately 44,000 XRP now fall within the top 1% of all wallet addresses, providing a benchmark for those tracking XRP’s wealth distribution.

The milestone of 8 million wallet addresses also reflects continued expansion of the XRP Ledger ecosystem. While a single individual or institution can control multiple wallets, rising address counts are commonly used as a proxy for increasing network participation and adoption.

A broader distribution of tokens is generally viewed as a sign of a healthier network, as ownership becomes less concentrated among a small number of large holders. Wider participation can improve market liquidity and strengthen the network’s resilience by distributing ownership across a larger base of users.

XRP faces rejection at the 50-day MA

As shown in the chart below, XRP has been once again rejected at the 50-day MA, which, if crossed, would have been considered a short-term bullish signal. However, the RSI is making higher lows along with the price.

XRP Ledger crosses 8 million wallets as XRP struggles below 50-day MA

XRP’s rejection at the 50-day moving average suggests that buyers have yet to gain enough strength to confirm a short-term bullish breakout. However, the improving momentum signals a potential shift in market structure, as the RSI continues to form higher lows alongside the price. This indicates that selling pressure may be weakening and buyers are gradually stepping in during pullbacks. While XRP remains below a key resistance level, a successful breakout above the 50-day MA could act as a bullish confirmation and open the path for further upside.
