According to exchange data received on Friday, Bitcoin (BTC) inflows to cryptocurrency exchange Binance are accelerating at a pace not seen since the 2022 cycle bottom. If the pace of inflow continues, then the top cryptocurrency by market cap may soon form a fresh 2026 bottom, albeit amid heightened selling pressure.
Will Bitcoin make a new 2026 market bottom?
The following chart shows that the recent spike in BTC inflows to Binance is not an isolated surge. Notably, inflows have been trending higher for months, while the 365-day moving average (MA) has also turned upwards.
When zoomed in a little, the chart shows the shift in inflows even clearer. Bitcoin deposits to Binance have followed an almost parabolic trajectory, recently reaching 228,000 BTC, with individual spikes exceeding 320,000 BTC.

The aforementioned inflows are climbing up while BTC is trading around $64,000, following the digital asset’s fall of more than 45 percent from its all-time high (ATH) of $126,080 in October 2025.
The combination of falling prices and rising deposits points to a meaningful change in investor behavior – since an increasing amount of BTC is moving from external wallets into Binance deposit addresses, where it becomes more readily available to trade or sell.
Past data shows that similar conditions have appeared during periods of intense selling pressure, deleveraging, and capitulation. In the 2022 market bottom, deposit activity increased to extreme levels as BTC fell to its final lows.
At the time, BTC’s weaker holders were exiting, while stronger demand gradually absorbed the supply being released into the market.
While the current similarity is significant, it does not confirm that a bottom is already in place. Exchange inflows measure BTC positioned for potential sale, not necessarily BTC that has actually been sold.
BTC whales accumulating ahead of surge
The elevated BTC aren’t just limited to Binance. Data from Thursday showed that BTC inflows are also rising on Coinbase.
At the same time, the BTC Fear & Greed index is flashing a historic sentiment signal that has previously only been seen close to market bottoms. If it holds true, then the decline to $59,000 may well end up being the digital asset’s 2026 bottom.
On-chain data further shows that BTC whales are silently accumulating while retail investors remain unsure about the cryptocurrency’s short-term outlook. However, there are concerns that the $70,000 zone may see some sell-off before further ascent.
