SYRUPAbout Maple Finance
Syrup is a new decentralized yield protocol that launched in May 2024. Its main idea is pretty simple: it connects DeFi investors to institutional-level yields using over-collateralized loans. There’s no KYC process involved. Instead, you just stake your USDC, get syrupUSDC in return, and that syrupUSDC starts earning yield for you. The protocol backs itself fully with BTC and ETH, and the APY ranges from 7% up to 20%. There’s also a native token, called SYRUP. Holders use it to vote on governance proposals, and it also gives access to a share of the fees the platform makes, which are partly used for buybacks. On top of that, users can earn extra incentives called Drips, which are designed to boost engagement within the Maple ecosystem.
