Flare is a Layer 1 blockchain built to bring reliable data into decentralized applications. It supports Ethereum-style smart contracts while adding native data tools for price feeds, cross-chain events, and identity-linked services. Its design focuses on infrastructure for DeFi, wallets, bridges, data markets, gaming, plus real-world asset apps. FLR is the network’s native token. Users spend FLR for transaction fees, delegate or stake it to support network security, vote in governance, and earn rewards through participation in Flare protocols. Data providers use the token around the Flare Time Series Oracle, which supplies decentralized data to apps. In the network, FLR is the fuel, security, governance, and incentive. Flare can be used by developers to create apps that require external data sources without relying on a single source. Users benefit from lower costs, access to DeFi, pay and transfer, liquidity, and rewards for activity in a data-driven blockchain ecosystem.
